Name That Irish Goat!

Italian this, Italian that!  Around here everything is about Vince’s Italian heritage.  He even has the kids believing that the only ancestors that matter are their Italian ancestors.  So as you can guess, I am the only proud Irishman in a household of very proud Italians.  So in honor of my very proud IRISH heritage, here is your chance to help my out, have a little fun, and maybe win some of our Goat Milk Soap in the process.

Our Shamrock and Lucky Clover Nubian does were born on St. Patrick’s Day March 17th, 2006.  Obviously this is why they were named Shamrock and Lucky Clover.  Last year our Clover had only one buckling which we named Danny Boy.  Shamrock had a doeling which we named Dublin.  Are you with me so far?

Ok, here comes the fun part…This year our Shamrock is due on St. Patrick’s Day!  Clover is due only a couple of days before.  We need your help in naming their doelings and bucklings.  We are looking for unique Irish names for both males and females.  Something that screams Irish.

Put your Irish thinking caps on, drink a few pints, and go fashionably green!  Send your ideas to me at amis40@ptd.net.  Please put Irish Names in the subject line.  If you are the winner, I will send you free Goat Milk Soap!!!  Remember not to suggest Clover, Shamrock, or Dublin since they have already been used.

By the way, the Irish goats are our show winners in the barn…both Clover and Dublin have won Best Overall Jr. Doe in Showat the Tioga County Fair.  Clover won it in 2006 and Dublin won it in 2007!  I guess that means maybe the Irish are superior to the Italians huh!

About asciotti

Please keep in mind that I never grew up on a farm, lived in the city or its suburbs all my life. Many farmers out there will find this blog a hoot as I stumble through the every day life of running a farm (most of the time...all by myself).
